The International Academy of Oral Oncology (IAOO) was established in 2005, and draws together for the first time formally, clinicians and scientists worldwide, working on issues relating to the etiopathogenesis, epidemiology, prevention and management of oral and perioral tumors and of oral disease in patients with malignancies.
The objectives of European Association of Oral Medicine are to promote in the field of Oral Medicine: improved clinical care, education and research, continuing education, exchange of scientific information, interest at institutions, professional associations and industries, information for governments and other official institutions of the significance of the role in oral health, and the prevention of orofacial diseases
The International Association of Oral Pathologists, which was established in 1976, has as its major objectives the development and promotion of the practice of oral pathology and the advancement of knowledge in clinical aspects, laboratory diagnosis and research in oral pathology and also the encouragement of communication between individuals of all nations in pursuance of these objectives. Any individual who is interested in oral pathology is eligible for membership of the association, provided that such a person conforms to the recognised standards of professional ethics.
